Belagavi: Woman fired at, killed - Financial dealings likely reason

Belagavi, Jan 17: Shyla Niranjan Subedar (56), who was living alone in Shamsuddin street in the city, was gunned down. She was found to have been injured in the chest and hand. One bullet was recovered from the spot.

Sniffer dogs were summoned in an effort to find the culprits behind the murder. It is said that Shyla was involved with a money lending business.

The lady did not have a husband or children and was in possession of a lot of fixed assets and cash. She used to lend even huge amounts like Rs 20 lac to the needy. The police suspect that either property dispute or financial transactions would have been the reason for the murder.
