Udupi: 'Central BJP has insulted Brahmashree Narayana Guru, backward classes in RD parade'

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Jan 16: "The BJP government has shown its true colours in treating the backward communities by refusing to display the tableau of Brahmashree Narayana Guru at the Republic Day Parade in Delhi," said Ramesh Kanchan, president, taluk block Congress.

Accusing BJP of insulting Narayana Guru, Kanchan said, “BJP at the Centre has insulted the backward communities by refusing the tableau of Brahmashree Narayana Guru who strived to unite humanity under one caste, one religion and one God, a place in the parade.

This shows that they want to keep untouchability alive. They want to suppress the rights of Dalits and backward communities. This is quite clear in this act. The ideology of Sangh Parivar, which had refused Brahmashree Narayana Guru earlier too, is disrespecting the great Guru.”

Kanchan called upon all the communities who follow Brahmashree Narayana Guru to oppose this act of the BJP-led union  government.
