PM responds to CM’s greetings, extends Makara Sankranti wishes

Bengaluru, Jan 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s greetings on the occasion of Makara Sankranti and has replied by extending his wishes to the sisters and brothers of Karnataka, which makes unprecedented contribution to national progress.

“The Centre and State Government will keep working for the empowerment of the people of the State,’’ Modi has said in a twitter message.

The Chief Minister, while extending the Makara Sankranti greetings to the Prime Minister in a twitter message, had thanked Modi for approval of synchronisation of 18,78,671 houseless and 6,61,535 siteless households for poor rural people of Karnataka under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Grameen (PMAY-G).

“It (the Central approval) has truly brought new joy into their lives and made this Makara Sankranti even more special,’’ Bommai said in his twitter message to the Prime Minister.
