Bengaluru: New twist to doctor's suicide near Kengeri railway station

Bengaluru, Jan 14: The case relating to suicide by a young doctor near Kengeri railway station sometime back has got a new twist. In that case, the doctor had ended his life by coming before a moving train.

The investigation by the railway police has revealed that this was a honey trap case. A youth from Bhopal has been arrested in this respect. The police have found that the accused had cheated a number of other persons.

Nearly three months back, the said doctor had died by suicide. The said doctor had completed MBBS course and was active in social sites. The accused who is from Bhopal opened a social media account in a girl's name and befriended the doctor and started to chat with him. In course of time, both came closer and the accused sent obscene photos of a girl to the doctor and obtained some photos from him. He then started pressurizing the doctor for money. Afraid of hurting his reputation, the doctor paid about Rs 70,000 through transfer to the account of the caller. Still, when further demand for money came, the doctor ended his life by lying before a train, the police have gathered.
