Mangaluru: Retired employees of Canara Bank commemorate Ajay Manjrekar

Mangaluru, Dec 18: Comrade Ajay Manjrekar passed away aged 60 on November 30, 2021 in Mangaluru after selflessly serving for many years as the general secretary of Canara Bank Employees’ Union, general secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Bank Employees’ Federation and joint secretary of All India Bank Employees’ Association.

The retired employees of Canara Bank, under the banner of Canara Bank Retirees Association, have been undertaking modest initiatives for the welfare of society along with serving the retired employees. To commemorate the selfless service of our beloved leader Ajay Manjrekar and seek eternal peace for his soul, donation of Rs 25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) was made to ‘Snehadeepa’, an orphanage for girl children situated at Bejai Kapikad with the Senior Member of Association’s Mangaluru Branch Sri Shekar Bolar handing over the amount to Tabassum, director of ‘Snehadeepa’.

Association office bearers Eshwar Bhat, P R Prabhakar Rao, A Prabhakar Rao, Peter Fernandes, Diwakar and Seema Bolar, wife of Shekar Bolar and Gururaj Rao were present on the occasion.
