Udupi: Kasturba Hospital Manipal organises Corporate Cricket League for professionals

Udupi, Dec 17: Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor, MAHE, Manipal inaugurated the KH - CCL 2021 tournament by unveiling the trophy and by the toss for the first match and said, "Most have not had a chance to play for the past two years due to Covid. Now Kasturba Hospital has provided an opportunity for this, MAHE Manipal has always been very supportive of sports and activities. Very few universities are recognized for Institutes of Eminence(IoE) in that MAHE is also one of them."

Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, vice-chancellor, MAHE Manipal, Dr PLNG Rao, pro-vice-chancellor (Faculty of Health Sciences), MAHE, Manipal, Dr Sharath K Rao – dean, KMC, Sri C G Muthana, COO, and Dr Avinash Shetty medical superintendent Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Dr Anand Venugopal, Medical superintendent, KMC Mangaluru were present.

The cricket tournament is being held at the Manipal End Point ground from December 17 to 19, 2021. There are about 21 teams participating from various districts. Kannada and Culture, Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar will be participating as chief guest in the valedictory ceremony on December 19, 2021.
