Mangaluru Dec 8: Congress MLC candidate Manjunath Bhandary assured of being the voice of people.

Addressing media here on Wednesday December 8, he said, “I thank everyone, especially the party high command for giving me such a huge responsibility. Panchayat Raj is an interesting subject. I had done research for academic purpose. I have studied in deep about Panchayat Raj as the benefits and rights should reach the people. Now it is an opportunity for me to make the benefits and rights reach the people. Facing election is not at all challenging for me. I assure that I will be with the people and be their voice. I will work for the people so that the schemes will be implemented and reach the general public.”

District Congress president Harish Kumar said, “Manjunath Bhandary was actively involved in Congress activities since 1978 through NSUI. He has worked from grass root level. Even in 2014, he contested opposite Yediyurappa in Shivamogga and posed him a tough contest. Manjunath Bhandary is the best candidate in this constituency who has done Mphil in Panchayat Raj. He has gained all the goodwill from elected representatives.”
