Mangaluru, Dec 1: A singing competition was held at the St Sebastian English medium school auditorium, Permannur on November 28 as part of silver jubilee celebrations of Catholic sabha.

The programme began after prayer hymn, bible reading and lighting the lamp. Assistant parish priest Fr Roshan D’ Souza chaired the hall programme. St Sebastian English medium school headmistress Sr Jacinta Crasta was the Chief Guest. Vice president of parish pastoral council, Mourice Monteiro, secretary Philomena D’ Souza and jubilee convener Melvin D’ Souza were the Guests of honour.

Fr Navin Pinto, Jason Sequeira Gurpur and Velita Lobo were on the dais as judges. Dolphy D’ Souza welcomed. A cake was cut to celebrate the birthday of Fr Navin Pinto. Sr Jacinta Crasta wished the best to all the participants and commended the work of Catholic Sabha.

Pramila D’ Souza rendered a vote of thanks. Parish priest Fr Cyprian Pinto distributed prizes to all the participants and winners. Arun D’ Souza compered the programme. 45 participants took part in the competitions.
