BJP MLA files complaint against RJD MLA with Speaker

Patna, Nov 30 (IANS): After a war of words between RJD's Bhai Virendra and BJP's Sanjay Saraogi, both members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the latter on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Vidhan Sabha Speaker seeking immediate action against the former.

"The abusive behaviour of Bhai Virendra has traumatised me mentally. He has crossed the limit of dignity and modesty. It was unacceptable behaviour on his part. He should introspect his own behaviour and apologise to me publically," Saraogi said.

"I have lodged a complaint with Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha to take cognisance of the matter and initiate action against the RJD MLA," he added.

Bhai Virendra, the RJD MLA from Maner in Patna district, had reportedly abused Saraogi, the BJP MLA from Darbhanga, on Tuesday morning.

When Virendra was interacting with mediapersons inside the Vidhan Sabha, he got involved in a verbal duel with Saraogi, who was also present there. After a heated argument, Virendra openly used abusive words against Saraogi.

"Bhai Virendra has publicly used abusive and casteist remarks against me," Saraogi alleged.

Following the incident, Nikhil Anand, the national general secretary of BJP's OBC wing, said: "Bhai Virendra is a senior leader of RJD, who has been involved in many wrongdoings both in and outside the Vidhan Sabha. He was the one who in the past had insulted the Chair of the Speaker by sitting along side it.

"He has set an abusive trend in the Vidhan Sabha. Tejashwi Yadav should be 'proud' of his behaviour. The way he threatened and abused Saraogi whoed that he is following the law of the jungle."
