Mangaluru: ICYM of Paldane church observes Advent of Christ

Mangaluru, Nov 28: As part of the customary preparation for Christmas, Holy Mass for first Sunday of Advent of Christ was celebrated with members of International Christian Youth Movement (ICYM) at St Teresa Church, Paldane, on November 28.

Parish priest Fr Alban D’Souza inaugurated the event by lighting the candle signifying the Advent of the Christ. In his sermon, he gave detailed discourse on the Advent of the Christ. He gave advice regarding the preparations to be made in the period before Christmas and said that we must all work to improve the quality of our spiritual life.

Haslin D’souza, president of the ICYM unit of the church, Varado president Meltan Noronha, secretary Aaron Lobo, vice president of church William Lobo, and secretary Austin Monteiro were present.
