Mangaluru: Srinivas University, KSTA organize workshop on Research Methodology

Mangaluru, Nov 3: Research Methodology workshop was conducted in Srinivas University and sponsored by Karnataka Science and Technology Academy. The programme was inaugurated by professor S Ayyappan – Chairman of KSTA and chancellor of Central Agriculture University, Imphal. He has stressed about the importance of the Research Methodology for the young researchers. He appreciated the efforts of Srinivas University for conducting this workshop. He has given lot of inputs regarding importance of research in India and world.

Dr P S Aithal – vice chancellor of Srinivas University has presided the programme. He told that, we should always question us that, why, what, how and where. Where we will do the research is not much important than why, what and How. Dr Thomas Pinto dean of Engineering college has welcomed the gathering and Dr Praveen B M, director – Research and Convener of the workshop has expressed the vote of thanks. Professor Rohan David Fernandez was the MC and Mahesh has made the invocation.

First session was by professor M S Kotian – research professor of Srinivas University has given the lecture on How to select the research topic. Second Session by Dr P S Aithal vice chancellor of Srinivas University delivered a lecture on How to find a research gap and research agenda in the proposed research topic. Third Session by Dr D C Nanjunda – Center for Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, – University of Mysore, Mysore has deliver a lecture on Plagiarism and Publication ethics. Fourth session by Dr Arun M Isloor – professor in NITK has delivered a lecture on How to become a Successful researcher?

Finally programme was closed by conducting valedictory function by distributing the certifcaites. Programe was organized in Hybrid mode. Around 100 participants were participated in this event
