Mangaluru: Negligence allegation against Wenlock hospital doctors, DMO submits report

Mangaluru, Oct 28: There were allegations that a woman suffering from breathing complications had come to the district Wenlock Hospital seeking treatment, and that she had to wait for an hour. It is said that she did not respond to treatments given thereafter. The district medical officer has since completed his investigation and submitted a report to the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district.

Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Dr Rajendra K V, speaking about the issue, said that the district medical officer has submitted a report on the angle of medical negligence in the case. He said the report will be studied soon. He also stated that at the Arogya Rasha meeting being held soon, various issues including the need to provide infrastructure and facilities to Wenlock hospital will be discussed.
