Mangaluru: Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy wins both boys, girls cricket match

Mangaluru, Oct 27: The 26th inter-collegiate cricket tournament for all the physiotherapy colleges around Karnataka was organized on October 20 and 21, 2021 at Dr Ambedkar stadium, NMPT, Panambur in Mangaluru under the auspices of Dr M V Shetty memorial trust Mangaluru.

In all, 19 boys team and 14 girls team from different physiotherapy colleges around Karnataka participated in the tournament off which Shree Devi college of Physiotherapy both the boys team as well as the girl’s team won the cricket tournament.

In semifinals, Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy boys’ team walked into the finals by winning the match against Garden City College of Physiotherapy, Bengaluru. And also the final match was played by Shree Devi College of physiotherapy by winning against Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences staff team. Among girls, in the finals, Shree Devi college of Physiotherapy won the match against Kanachur College of Physiotherapy.

Muhammed Nihal of Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy was declared the best batsmen of the tournament, Jobin joseph of Shree Devi college of Physiotherapy was awarded the best bowler, and Steevo Sebastian of Shree Devi College of Physiotherapy as best fielder. Among girls, Aswathi Anilkumar of Shree Devi college of Physiotherapy was awarded the best all-rounder and Anjali Anilkumar of Shree Devi college of Physiotherapy the best fielder of the tournament.
