Madikeri, Oct 27: A woman had been complaining of stomach ache. The doctors who found that there was a big tumour inside her stomach, removed it surgically. It happened to be a mass of hair weighing 1.5 kg.
A woman had got herself admitted into the district hospital of Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri. She complained of unexplained stomach ache. During the scan, the doctors found a huge tumour made of hair.
A team of doctors led by Dr Ajit Kumar successfully removed the tumour. The woman's health is steady and there is no cause for any concern, the doctors said. It is said that the woman had the habit of pulling out hair and swallowing it.
Dr Abhinandan, Dr Ponnappa, Dr Praveen Kumar, Dr Taranandan and Dr Pradeep were in the team which performed the surgery at Madikeri.
