Three US Citizens Killed in Mexico

Washington, Nov 2 (IANS) Three US citizens were killed in a northern Mexican city sharing borders with the US state of Texas, the State Department said.

State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said two were fatally shot early Sunday in Ciudad Juarez.

In a separate incident, another US citizen was killed in Ciudad Juarez itself, he said.

Ciudad Juareza is a fast growing Mexican city due to its proximity to the US. However, the city is plagued by widespread violence generated by drug war in Mexico.
