Mysuru: HDK dismisses Siddaramaiah's claim of organizing JD(S) as hollow

Mysuru, Oct 25: Former chief minister and JD(S) leader, H D Kumaraswamy, launching a fresh attack on Siddaramaiah, termed the latter's claim that he had strengthened the organizational set up of the JD(S) as hollow.

"We used to build the stage, pitch the shamiyana, tie the buntings and assemble the party workers. Siddaramaiah used to come at the last minute and deliver speeches. That was the style of his organizing the party. In one incident, just because his photo was not displayed in the party banker, he had distanced himself from the programme. Later, Deve Gowda sent K Venkatesh to mediate and convince him. Can you believe his claim that he will give up the post of the chief minister to the others?" he questioned.

Kumaraswamy was speaking at the Patrika Bhavan here on Sunday October 24.

Kumaraswamy said that he and other leaders had seen Siddaramaiah sitting cross legged in the presence of Deve Gowda.

On the statement of MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan that Kumaraswamy was indulging in suitcase politics, Kumaraswamy said that when an elephant passes through a street, dogs naturally bark at the animal. It is natural, but we cannot go on giving replies to such things," he explained. He also wondered how can the allegation that H D Deve Gowda had come to collect the suitcase containing currency notes be believed.
