Mysuru: Rain causes landslide on Chamundi Hill - Vehicular traffic restrained

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Oct 22: Due to the heavy downpour experienced in the city on Wednesday October 20 night, landslide was experienced on Chamundi Hill here.

The hill experienced a landslide for a stretch of about 60 feet on the way leading to the Nandi statue atop the hill. It happened near the welcome board planted on the occasion of Navaratri festival.

As no vehicles were moving on this stretch at the time of the incident, the landslide did not cause loss of property or life.

As the road has been damaged, the road, which is already narrow, has narrowed down further. Only two wheelers can use the road now. Therefore, vehicular movement has been barred on the road.
