Kundapur: Police book two for illegal transportation of cattle

Kundapur, Oct 21: Shankaranarayana police booked two people under 379 section of IPC, 4,5,7,12 sections of Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Ordinance, 2020 and 11(1) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals act.

The incident was reported in Yadamakki cross under the limits of Shankaranarayana village in Kundapur taluk.

Reportedly, two accused were transporting five cattle in a pickup vehicle KA 14 C 6789 on October 20 at around 8.45 pm. Allegedly, it is said that accused were transport the cattle to the slaughterhouse in a cruel manner, without providing fodder or water in the vehicle.
