Mangaluru: Three end lives in twin districts

Manglauru, Oct 21: In different incidents which happened within the limits of Mulky, Bellare and Gangolli police station limits, three persons ended their lives.

Shashidhar (38) ended his life by consuming poison in a thicket. He was from Guttakadu near Kinnigoly. He was living with his mother and was suffering from depression, it is said. He also was addicted to liquor and consumed poisonous substance when his mother was away. A woman who went inside the thicket to tether her cow for grazing saw the body and alerted the locals. Mulky police recovered a bottle of poison nearby.

Kariya Mogaveera (62) from Trasi Hosapete near Gangolli hanged himself in the firewood shed of his house. He was a fisherman and his daughter, Hemavathi said that he was depressed because of financial crisis he was facing. Gangolli police are probing.

Jogiyadka Theertheshwara (20) from Jogiyadka in Amarapadnoor village, Sullia taluk, hanged himself. He had left home to visit a shop but did not return even at night. Calls made to his mobile phone remained unanswered. On the next day, the family members went searching and found that he had ended his life by tying a sari to a rubber tree in the hillock behind his home. Bellare police are probing. It is suspected that he would have ended his life because of financial constraints and liquor addiction.
