Udupi: Annual meeting of South Canara Photographers' Association held

Udupi, Oct 19: “A photo will interpret the personality of a person and perspective of the society. Keeping those points in mind, photographers should try to capture photos with positive approach," said Dr N Vijay Ballal, trustee of Ambalpady Lord Janardhana and Mahakali temple.

He said after inaugurating the 31st annual meeting of South Canara Photographers' Association on Sunday October 17 at Smt Ammanni Ramanna Shetty auditorium here.

Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat distributed financial aid to students who scored high marks in the SSLC examination. The guests congratulated the winners of sports-meet, photography and videography contests.

Installation of 14 zones were also held.

The association felicitated retired army officer Krishna Shetty Bettu. An outlet of accessories related to photography and exhibition was also organized. Meanwhile, senior photographers were honour by the association.

Jayakar Shetty Indrali, director, State Cooperative Federation, Paramesh Subbayya, president, Karnataka Photographers' Association, K Vasudev Rao, president, South Canara Photographers Multi-purpose Cooperation Association, Nagaraja Rayappa Mth, vice-president, South Canara Photographers Cooperation Association, Harish Adyar, general secretary, Anand N, advisory committee member, former presidents and presidents of 14 zones were present.

Shridhar Shettigar, president, South Canara Photographers' Association welcomed the gathering and organising secretary Sundar Poojary Kolalagiri propsed the vote of thanks. Raghavendra and Babitha compered the programme.
