Mangaluru: Bajal St Vincent D Paul Society celebrates diamond jubilee

Mangaluru, Sep 30: St Vincent D Paul Society at Bajal held their diamond jubilee celebrations at Bajal St Joseph school auditorium on September 26.

Vicar general of Mangaluru diocese, Fr Maxim L Norona led the holy mass in the morning. Bajal church parish priest Fr Andrew D’ Souza and assistant parish priest Fr Ronald Pinto lighted the lamp and set the programme in motion.

St Vincent D Paul central committee president brother Joe Coelho, Mangaluru regional committee president brother George Boromeo, parish pastoral council vice president Deepak D’Souza, retired priest Fr Richard Saldanha and St Theresa Convent superior Sr Pramila were on the dais.

Brother Fredrick D’Souza and brother Francis D’Souza who offered the maximum service in the society were felicitated with a shawl and letters of felicitation. Fr Ronald Pinto who presided over the programme praised the pro people service of the society during the last sixty years and wished that it may continue in the future.

Brother Henry D’Souza welcomed the guests. Brother Michael Andrade rendered a vote of thanks. Brother Dolphy D’Souza compered the programme.
