Mangaluru, Sep 28: The city has developed in every sector a notch higher in the last few years and so has the hotel industry flourished all over Mangaluru. There are different types of hotels in Mangaluru which have their own uniqueness, quality and service. Similarly ‘Swadisht’, a multi cuisine veg-non veg restaurant at Pumpwell, offers customers relishing and lip-smacking dishes from different cuisines at reasonable prices.
Back in 2001, the owners of Swadisht started a small restaurant in Udupi in their hometown which served delicious recipes which until 2013 was called ‘Chinese Paradise’.
In the year 2015, the owners opened the second branch of the restaurant at Brahmavar renaming the brand as Swadisht Multicuisine Restaurant followed by third branch at Bannanje in the year 2016. Another branch was opened in Kundapur in the year 2017.
The owners always had a dream to open a restaurant in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada. Finding a suitable place in Pumpwell Inland Galore building next to Omega Hospital, they opened a multi cuisine restaurant which has the aura of other four branches.
Real ‘multi’ cuisine
Swadisht serves specialized continental cuisines. A very few restaurants serve sizzlers in Mangaluru. Swadisht serves varieties of sizzlers and pastas along with a wide range of Caesar salads, fruits and nuts salads among others.
They also serve south Indian delicacies like Crab Sukka, Prawns Ghee Roast, Squid Uruval, Chicken Kadipatta, along with specialised Tandori Kebabs like Maratha Kabab,Dakshin Kabab,Paneer Sikkimpuri Tikka , Chicken Cheese Kabab, Tandori Pomfret, Fish Achari Tikka and a wide range of Indian breads.
North Indian dishes like Nizami Handi, Murg Mussallam, Mutton Lahori, Paneer Pasanda with aromatic and flavourful signature biryanis, pulao and the typical Butter Chicken which is loved by the student community is also served at Swadisht.
The restaurant is also specialized in Signature Grilled Chicken and Shawarma which is a quick pick for all foodies.
Chinese cuisine is an all-time favourite where they serve unique starters like Jade Chicken, Taiwan Chicken, Crispy Paneer with Honey Mustard, Sterling Chicken and many more.
On a weekend, the restaurant sizzles not only with the sizzlers but also with the Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream which is an all-time favourite of a lot of their regular patrons.
Apart from Brownies, Swadisht serves delicious traditional Gudbud, varieties of Sundaes and milk shakes, Faloodas etc. They are well known for cocktails and mocktails prepared by professional bartenders which also is the talk of the town.
Going to the banquet, Swadisht has a mini banquet hall without any kind of rent with a capacity of 80-100 seating with all basic amenities provided in the food package which starts from a range of Rs 295 onwards. On the house music, smart TV, cordless microphone, exclusive entrance for the party hall, decorations and master of ceremony will be arranged as per guest requirement. More interestingly, there is ample parking space of around 60 cars in the basement and front of the restaurant for the guests’ convenience.
To reach their clients, they are also on the food delivery platform like Swiggy, Zomato etc.
