Udupi, Sep 26: World Pharmacists Day was celebrated at Girija Health Care and Surgicals, Udupi on Saturday, September 25, 2021.

On the occasion senior pharmacists of Udupi U K Gopalakrishna Rao, Raghuram Bhat, Ramesh Nayak, Sukanya Rajedra Prasad, Sanjeev Patil, Raghavendra Kamath were felicitated by Girija Health Care and Surgicals, Lions Club Udupi and Indian Senior Chambers Udupi temple city legion.

Speaking on the occasion V G Shetty, President Udupi Chemists and Druggists association said "World Pharmacists day is being celebrated from 2012. Its a great initiative by Girija Health Care and Surgicals to celebrate this day in Udupi. Pharmacists play a vital role in the medical field.  Healthy life is a well being. Relationship between the pharmacists and  the patient is a unique relationship. This relies upon trust. The same trust cures the patient from their illness. Currently the Indian Pharmacy business is spread at 1 lakh crore. A lot of families and individuals are dependent in this field" he said.

Senior Pharmacist of Mangaluru Sadananda Shetty was felicitated by Girija Healthcare and surgicals Mangalore branch.

Sukumar, president Indian Senior Chambers Udupi temple city legion Vishnudas Patil, Secretary Lions Club Udupi Raviraj, LCF Co-ordinator Partners of Girija Health Care and Surgicals Garish Kumar and Ravindra Shetty were present on the occasion.
