Puttur: Missing Uppinangady mechanic stationed in Himachal Pradesh?

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Sep 23: The police who were trying to trace the whereabouts of a man from Nekkilady near Uppinangady who went missing all of a sudden and about whom his wife had filed a missing complaint, have got the clue through his mobile location that he could be in Himachal Pradesh. It may be recalled that there were rumours that the man, who claimed his native place to be Uttar Pradesh, was involved with a plan to set off blasts and was arrested by the Delhi police.

The man had left his home by claiming that he would be visiting Bengaluru. There is no clarity on why he went to Himachal Pradesh, or whether his mobile phone is being carried by someone else. As per the claim of his wife, he had gone missing from July 18 after leaving for Bengaluru, and there was no information from his side. It is not known whether he has gone there to escape or whether there are other reasons behind his remaining evasive.

In case a person is arrested relating to terrorist activities, preliminary information is put together through the local police through the state department of home. The police say no such process has been undertaken. Some say there is a possibility of the person himself having floated the rumour that he is in the custody of an investigation team in order to escape from the clutches of those who have lent money to him. The police personnel are continuing with investigation from all angles and hope to crack the case soon.
