Lindsay Didn't Try to Escape Rehab, Says her Lawyer

Toronto, Oct 15 (IANS) Lindsay Lohan's lawyer has rubbished reports that the actress recently attempted to escape rehab.

The "Mean Girls" star has been in and out of rehab this year and she is currently receiving treatment at the Betty Ford Clinic in California. She checked into the facility after paying $300,000 bail to walk free from prison after failing two mandatory drug tests.

According to the reports, the actress was not happy with the centre and recently found herself in trouble for sneaking out to buy a can of soda.

However, Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley is insistent the stories aren't true, and that the 24-year-old star is making good progress at the clinic, reported torontosun.com.

"(The) escape story is absurd and untrue. The counsellor gave Lindsay an unqualified glowing report on her progress," Holley said.
