Byndoor, Sep 21: Supreet, a resident of Kollur in the taluk and the second BCom degree course student of a degree college in Koteshwar near Kundapur, hanged himself to end his life at his residence on the evening of Monday September 20.
Supreet was the first of the three sons of Chandra Naik residing near Mavinakaru Bawadi in Kollur.
On Monday evening, Supreet's mother had left home to collect dry leaves from the forest nearby. She had asked Supreet to accompany her but he opted to remain at home. One of Supreet's brothers, an auto rickshaw driver by profession, was away and his other brother along with father had left home visiting someone.
When the mother returned, she found to here shock that Supreet had ended his life. Reasons for the extreme step could not be ascertained immediately.
