Nolan to be Honoured at Film Festival


London, Oct 14 (IANS) Filmmaker Christopher Nolan, the mastermind behind "Batman Begins" and "Inception", is to be honoured with the Modern Master Award at the 26th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBFF) in California early next year.

The Modern Master Award is the highest honour presented at the festival. It was created to celebrate film mavericks and accomplished filmmakers and actors, reports contactmusic.com.

Past recipients include Michael Douglas, Jodie Foster, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Diane Keaton, Sean Penn, Jeff Bridges, Peter Jackson, George Clooney, Will Smith, Cate Blanchett, Clint Eastwood, and James Cameron.
