Udupi, Sep 20: The fourth Paryaya Mahotsava Samithi of upcoming paryaya math Sri Krishnapur and its office was inaugurated at Sri Krishna Sabha Mandira here on Sunday, September 19.
Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Sri Krishnapur after the inauguration said, "Paryayotsava will be held with all religious grandeur like previous times. We would follow all the Covid norms. May God bless all the works. I believe and wish that, it is not only my paryaya, it is of my guru Madhwacharya, and guru Vadiraja. They live in me and guide me, I also wish that the world prosper through this paryaya."
Udupi MLA Raghupatghi Bhat, president of the executive committee said, “Let us prepare action plan for the upcoming Krishnapur Paryaya Mahotsava according to the Covid guidelines and I will put effort to get special sanction from the government for the development of Udupi. I will make arrangements for procession and will invite special folk teams on behalf of Kannada and culture department and will urge the state government for extend all kind of support”.
“There are developmental works that need to be taken up in the city on priority basis. Roads and basic infrastructure must be improved for the devotees who are coming from various parts of the nation. The district administration will facilitate all the essential arrangements.
Bhat further said, “Covid positive cases is decreasing and situation looks far better in the district. The district administration is expected to cover 100 percent of first dose by November and has been putting effort to increase the percentage of second dose”.
On the occasion, Vasudev Asranna, priest, Kateel temple, Laksminarayana Asranna, former MLAs Vinay Kumar Sorake, Pramod Madhwaraj, Harikrishna Punarur, former president, KSP, Pradeep Kalkur, Manjunath Upadhyaya, president, Taluk Brahmana Mahasabha and diwanas of Ashta math were present.
Paryaya committee president Suryanarayana Upadhyaya welcomed the gathering and Vishnuprasad Padigar, secretary, read the list of office bearers of the committee. U K Raghavendra Rao, organizer of the committee proposed the vote of thanks.
