Puttur: Bag, footwear found on hanging bridge at Udane, suicide suspected

Puttur, Sep 19: A pair of footwear and backpack bag is found left on hanging bridge at Udane near Uppinangady in the taluk. It is suspected that someone has jumped into the river below the hanging bridge.

Deathnote is also found in the bag. Though fire service personnel searched in the river, they did not find any mortal remains.

Public who noticed the bag and footwear on the morning of Saturday, September 18, on the hanging bridge informed the same to the police. ASI Sitarama Gowda and personnel of Nelyadi outpost visited the spot.

According to the details available on the driving licence found in the bag the person who is missing is Ramanna M, son of M Subramanyam, 6-237, Chithravathi Road, Puttaparthi, Anantpur district. Death note also says that the person is committing suicide. A bus ticket of travel from Dharmasthala to Udane on September 15 is also available in the bag.

A complaint is registered by the police and further investigation is on.
