Mangaluru: St Francis Xavier Church Bejai organizes vaccination drive

Mangaluru, Sep 18: St Francis Xavier Church, Bejai conducted free Covishield vaccination camp along with Lions Club Mangaluru Bejai, Lions & Leo Club Centennial Mangaluru and Mangaluru City Corporation Health Centre, Bunder Mangaluru on Friday September 17, 2021 at Bejai Church Mini Hall.

Fr Dr J B Saldanha, parish priest of Bejai Church, corporator Sudhir Shetty, vice president of Bejai parish pastoral parishad and president of Lions Club Centennial, Lion Ashok Pinto, secretary of Bejai parish pastoral parishad, Preethi Gomes and Leo club president Leo Aaron Pinto were the chief guests of the inaugural ceremony.

The chief guests inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Sylvian D'Silva sang a prayer song, Lion Ashok Pinto welcomed the gathering, Fr J B Saldanha and corporator Sudhir Shetty addressed the gathering, Lion Richard D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks and Preethi D'Souza compered the programme. On this day as many as 616 people were vaccinated. Thanks to ICYM of Bejai unit, members of parish taskforce and the commission for health for their generous help in the registration of the beneficiaries and volunteering and assisting during this great event.
