Hassan, Sep 18: An attempt to physically attack municipal commissioner here, Krishnamurthy, was made by the head of Yatindra Paramedical Science School and his children on Friday September 17. The Paramedical Sciences head was angry at the fact that his instruction to stop vaccination drives at 2 pm was not heeded.

Yatindra School in Hemavathi Nagar here was used as a vaccination centre on Friday. The people were informed that vaccination drive will go on the whole day. But the head of the school asked the officials to stop vaccination at 2 pm. Municipal commissioner Krishnamurthy, told them that this is a government programme for which time was fixed in advance. He said that vaccination was planned till 6 pm.

Unconvinced, the head and two of his children entered into a verbal altercation with Krishnamurthy and were about to manhandle him. A video of the scene went viral soon.

Krishnamurthy has since filed complaint in Pension Mohalla police station against four persons. The police are investigating.
