Mangaluru: Vishwakarma Jayanti celebrated at DC office

Mangaluru, Sep 17: Sri Vishwakarma Jayanti was celebrated on September 17 at the auditorium of deputy commissioner’s (DC) office in the city under the joint auspices of district administration, zilla panchayat, Kannada and culture department and Sri Kalikamba Vinayaka temple.

Manikya N, additional DC lighted the lamp and extended greetings on the occasion. Sundara Acharya Belvai, second trustee of Sri Kalikamba Vinayaka temple said that Vishwakarma Yajna Pooja is held everywhere on Kanya Sankramana. He lauded the government for remembering Vishwakarma God, who has helped the Vishwakarama community to contribute in all forms of art worldwide.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Members of Sri Kalikamba Vinayaka temple administrative committee T Jayakar Talebail, K K Vittal Acharya, Damodar Acharya Kalpane and T Divakar Acharya, special invitee of administrative committee of temple Sujir Vinod were present.

Rajesh, assistant director of Kannada and culture department compered the programme. Ramesh Acharya rendered vote of thanks.
