Udupi, Sep 16: The titular feast of Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi, here was marked with devotion. Fr Preetham Joy Menezes, assistant parish priest Katapady was the chief celebrant for the eucharistic celebrations.

In his homily, Fr Preetham Menezes said, "Mary said Yes to God's wish. We should say Yes to the will of God. Mary visited Elizabeth when she was in need. Love people when they are alive not after their death. Offer your sorrows to Jesus He has the ability to turn your sorrows to blessings. Doors are the prominent part of a church complex. Doors allow us to take the good preachings and spread it among the society. We are Christians not only inside the church but also in the outside society as well" he said.

Fr Charles Menezes, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi, Fr Valerian Mendonca, rector Milagres Cathedral, Fr Stany B Lobo, chancellor Udupi diocese Fr Valerian D'Silva Capuchin, Fr Ashwin Aranha, assistant parish priest, Fr Johnson Sequiera, principal of St Mary's CBSE School, Fr William Martis and other priests from the diocese were present for the eucharistic celebrations.
