Mangaluru: Road devt work - Traffic prohibited from Navabharath junction to Nagarakatte

Mangaluru, Sep 13: Vehicular movement is prohibited from Navabharath junction to Nagarakatte (Dongarakeri Venkataramana temple Road) under MCC limits due to road development work.

An order to this effect was taken out by city police commissioner and additional district magistrate N Shashi Kumar under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988 column 115. Vehicles will not be allowed to ply on this stretch for 60 days starting from September 9 till November 7.

Alternative route is provided for vehicular movement. Vehicles approaching from Naganakatte should go via Gaddakeri junction and use road near Ramana Pai Hall and move towards Navbharath Circle. Vehicles moving towards Dongarakeri from Navabharath Junction should move via Ramana Pai hall to Gaddekeri junction.

In his press release, city traffic assistant commissioner has said that required sign boards should be installed by the Smart City committee and personnel for smooth vehicle movement need to be deployed.
