Mandya: Bullet injury suffered by farmer - Six hunters arrested

Mandya, Sep 11: Relating to the incident in which a farmer suffered bullet injuries in Melapura village in Srirangapatna taluk, six hunters have been arrested and a gun besides five live bullets have been confiscated from them, said district superintendent of police, Dr Ashwini.

She said that a farmer had been injured on Wednesday when the hunters were hunting for wild boars.

"Sharat and Deepa from Hebbal Mysuru, Ravi and Prabhu from Rammanahalli in Mysuru taluk, and Devaraju from Menagara village in Pandavapura taluk have been arrested. The accused were produced in the court and were remanded to police custody for further questioning," she explained.
