Kundapur, Sep 10: “Congress leaders these days are giving statements due to frustration of losing. They have been alleging EVM misuse whenever BJP won the elections and Congress lost. If BJP loses, there is no EVM defect and there is also no misuse of power. When we observe all these things, the mental condition of Congress is not stable. They will be zero in the country if they do not come out and realize the problems in the party. The misuse of power is limited only to their statements. People cast their votes after they see the pro people work and leadership of the leaders at the state and the centre. Congress will not win in life if they do not give up false accusations of EVM and power misuse,” said former Sringeri MLA D N Jeevaraj. He was answering questions of news reporters during his visit to Anegudde Vinayaka temple for Ganesh Chaturthi on September 10.

“The government takes the welfare of people into consideration during all of their decisions. The government has imposed well thought restrictions in certain places till everybody gets vaccinated in order to control the pandemic. Concern for health is important during celebrations of festivals. About half the Corona cases in the country are in Kerala. When cases spike in Maharashtra and Kerala, the positivity rates in Karnataka too rise. It is not necessary to observe restrictions because of the government. People should perform their duties as responsible citizens instead,” he said.

“The government will take stern action regarding drugs. The chief minister and the home minister have said it,” he said.

“Both Yediyurappa and the BJP party are correlated. It is not wrong for B S Yediyurappa, Nalin Kumar Kateel or chief minister Basavaraj Bommai to go on campaign to strengthen the party. As all of them are our leaders it is not right to create confusion. BJP will come to power in the 2023 elections. BJP will win district panchayat elections and taluk panchayat elections like BJP won corporation elections. The chief minister visits party leaders for development works. It cannot be called differences. It is false news. He has visited leaders during the wedding of Prahlad Joshi’s daughter. If I visit party state president Nalin Kumar Kateel during my visit to Bengaluru, it is not because of differences but because of the relationship with leaders,” he said.
