Mangaluru: Fr Muller Medical College organizes World Suicide Prevention Day

Mangaluru, Sep 9: The department of Psychiatry, at Fr Muller Medical College headed by Dr Supriya Hegde conducted the World Suicide Prevention Day programme on September 9.

It was held in the inpatient general Psychiatry ward. Patients were educated about how to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to prevent it. A skit was organized by the department postgraduates.

Dr Ashwitha Carl compered the programe. Games were organized for inpatients. Dr Galina Dsouza addressed the gathering. 'Creating hope through action', the theme was put in practice today in the department.
