Madikeri, Sep 8: In an accident which happened near Sampigekatte, Madikeri, on Tuesday September 7, two motorbike-borne youngsters were killed after being crushed under the wheels of a tipper truck.
The victims of the accident were Vishwanath and Dinesh from Mysuru. Vishwanath along with a relative, Dinesh, had come to Madikeri to hand over his marriage invitation cards to relatives living in the town when the accident happened.
The bike was trying to overtake the tipper in misty weather. At that time, the rider lost control over the vehicle, as a result of which the two-wheeler fell on the road. The tipper reportedly crushed them instantly, it is said.
Madikeri rural police have registered a case.
