Mangaluru: Anniversary of St Theresa celebrated, new grotto inaugurated at Paldane church

Mangaluru, Sep 7: The anniversary celebrations of St Theresa and newly built grotto were inaugurated at St Theresa Church Paldane near Kulshekar here.

Mangaluru diocese Judicial Vicar Fr Walter D’ Mello gave homily during the holy mass. He said that the society will benefit when we serve the poor and the downtrodden following the life of St Theresa as an example. “St Theresa who is the fountain of love and affection is our guiding light. The beautiful grotto has helped us pray in the future,” he said.



Church parish priest Fr Alban D’ Souza, diocese former Vicar General Fr Denis Prabhu and Infant Jesus shrine’s Fr Steven Lobo were present. Alwyn Lobo who has donated the entire cost of constructing the grotto was felicitated.

Parish pastoral council vice president William Lobo and Secretary Austin Monteiro took part.

    I am really Happy for you dear Friends that you gave a fitting Great Honour to our down trodden humble Nun, St Theresa of Calcutta in your lovely Parish Church at Paldane. The Grotto you have built is so nice and beautiful and this shows your deep Love and admiration to this simple living, always helpful to the street neglected ones while she was living. A lovely Greetings to you our dear Parish Priest, Rev Father Alban D'Souza and your associate Priests who were instrumental in creating such a " Lovely Grotto " remembering our St Theresa of Calcutta.
