He appreciated his love for the country when he turned down the offer of Hitler to migrate to Germany. He also regretted that in spite of Dhyanchand’s exceptional prowess, the country did not give him the desired respect and recognition towards the end of his life. He exhorted the students to appreciate all sports personalities and emulate them. Quoting the examples of Ravi Shasthri, Vishwanathan Anand, P V Sindhu etc who have passed out from Don Bosco institutions, he encouraged the students to aim for national and international levels in sports.

Very nice to hear that our DON BOSCO Institutions always isin forefront in its activities of worth emulating. They, by and large encourage our own less talented children to move forward in every step. This type of initial encouragement gives them such a self confidence and motivation to get along with any serious problems/difficulties in their lives they might face. I am really Happy for those families who venture into this area of experi ment of trial and error method, if they so chose to do so for their children. Sincerely hope that those families who wish to take advantage of thisway of method in life and carrier for their children's future, am sure, they will not be sorry, but surely enjoy Happiness in their future lives ! MAY GOD BLESS AND PROTECT THEM ALL !!
