Mangaluru: Weekend curfew in district to begin at 9 pm on Friday

Mangaluru, Aug 27: The coronavirus-related weekend curfew will be in force in Dakshina Kannada district beginning from 9 pm on Friday August 27. It will be in force till 5 am on Monday. During this period, provision stores, shops dealing in fruits, vegetables, fish, meat and street vendors will be allowed to function from 5 am to 2 pm.

Liquor shops can issue parcels from 5 am to 2 pm. Hotels can only provide parcels. Home delivery of food items can be undertaken all 24 hours of the day. Buses and other public transport are allowed till afternoon.

As the weekend curfew is in force in the district, teachers of all the government aided and unaided high schools and primary schools have been instructed to discharge duties from their homes on August 28. The deputy director public instruction has asked the concerned to organize online educational activities for the students.

    1st of all let authority fine who is not wearing masks in public.only weekend curphew won't help,also corona virus doesn't know the day / hour/ month/ year/ nationality or any political party. Also If everyone voluntarily goes for vaccination.

    But people roam around in the evening and night as if no curfew. Are we achieving the goals in the previous weekends? Rule breakers must be booked, else if we leave free malappuram/Kerala here also
