Udupi: District clocking less than two percent positivity rate

Udupi, Aug 25: The district has been recording less than two percent positivity rate for the last three days consecutively. This is a promising development. On Tuesday, 7,339 persons were subjected to tests, out of which infection was found in 128, which works out to 1.74 percent.

Currently, 1,591 active patients are being treated. An 84-year-old woman from Karkala became a victim of the disease on Tuesday.

So far, black fungus infection was detected among 51 persons in the district. Five of them have not survived.
