Panaji: Police confiscate ganza worth Rs 1.6 lac, arrest one

Panaji, Aug 24: A man was arrested for possessing 1.3 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.6 lac in the market.

The arrested accused is identified as Siddesh Naik, resident of Manishwada of Colvale. Acting on definite information, Colvale police conducted a raid near Fort Fattirwada of Colvale at around 5 pm.

A case under NDPS Act is registered by the police and the accused is in police custody. The operation was led by PSI Mandar Parab and included police constables Pratap Sawant, Anish Kumar Poke, Santhosh Narvekar, Datta Gauns and Nilesh Lingudkar. PSI Kunal Naik Korgaonkar is investigating further.
