Mangaluru, Aug 23: The NSS Unit of YIASCM organized Onam celebration at the Balmatta campus on August 21, 2021 at 11:00 am. The floral Rangoli (Pookalam) was designed by all the faculty members. The inauguration was done by lighting the traditional lamp by the principal Dr Parvadhavardhini Gopalkrishnan and vice principal Dr Shareena P.
Faculty members did performed the traditional dance, following which 'Onasadya' was arranged to all the teaching and nonteaching staff. In the afternoon, cultural activities like musical chair and tug-of-war was arranged for all the staff members. Overall, it was one of the memorable events and all joined in the festivities. Pavitra Shetty, programme officer, NSS and team hosted the entire event.
Pro vice chancellor Dr BH Shripathi Rao preceded the event.
