Mangaluru: Fraudster posing as AIIMS professor arrested

Mangaluru, Aug 22: Policehave arrested Srinivas (55), a native of Visakhapatnam, on the accusation of residing in various hotels of the city on rent, posing himself as the professor and surgeon (visiting) of AIIMS, Delhi and eloping without paying the bill.

The accused used to show the ID card of AIIMS and hire rooms on rent in various hotels of the city. Later he used to check out without paying the bill for his stay. He tried playing the same trick in a hotel near Navabharath Circle in the city on Saturday, August 21. The hotel staff immediately informed the matter to Bunder police station. The cops arrested the accused and took him to the police station for further interrogation.

During the investigation by the team of police, led by Bunder police inspector Raghavendra, it has come to light that the accused has cheated hotels in Salem of Tamilnadu also in a similar manner.

    i admire people like this fraudster, harshad mehta, even choksi and puski whatever..the reason is that they find out the loopholes in our system and it helps the govt and private entities to tighten their noose. for eg Telgi scam made the govt to give stamp paper only through authrorized agencies..
