Mangaluru: Man arrested for storing fire crackers without permit

Mangaluru, Aug 22: Kankanady police have arrested a person for allegedly storing huge piles of fire crackers without permit at a godown at Kushekhar in the city.

Acting on definite information, police inspector of Kankanady city police station raided the godown belonging to Kanchan Ganga Traders on the evening of August 18.

The gowdown is located at Padavu Kulshekhar chowki.

The police confiscated various types of fire crackers stored without licence. The value of the confiscated fire crackers is said to be Rs 4.31 lac.

One person has been arrested in this connection and produced in court.
