Panaji: Identity of body found on Candolim beach still not confirmed

Panaji, Aug 21: The mortal remains that were found on the sand dunes near the Candolim Promenade parking area on Thursday are still not identified.

No identification documents of any kind were found on the body as per the information given by Vikas Deykar, PSI of Calangute police station. Wrists of both hands have cut marks on the body.

The post mortem of the body was done at the Goa Medical College. As per the autopsy report the cause of death is the injury on both the wrists.

The finding of this body has caused concern among the locals as this is the second case within a week. The mortal remains of a 19-year-old girl from Nachinola were found a week ago on Calangute beach, which created a major controversy in the state.
