Kundapur: HJV Byndoor stage protests against Love Jihad

Kudapur, Aug 17: Byndoor unit of Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) held protests in front of the office of Byndoor tahsildar against Love Jihad and submitted an appeal to the chief minister through the tahsildar urging to take strict action and pass a law against Love Jihad.

District Matra Suraksha convener Vasudev Gangolli said that some unpleasant incidents are reported recently in Udupi, Mangaluru known as the model districts in the coastal region and at Coorg and Uttara Kannada districts. “Terrorist’s organizations that are a challenge for the country’s security and internal safety are widely indulging in their activities in the coastal and malnad regions. Some fanatic organizations are supporting them,” he alleged.

“Love Jihad and terrorist activities that are increasing in the coastal regions need to be investigated at a high level. Detailed investigations should be held over all the terrorist activities that have happened in Mangaluru so far and about the terrorist organizations that have connections at Kerala and Bhatkal. A national investigating office should be opened at Mangaluru to make sure that such incidents do not occur again,” he urged.

Taluk Matra Suraksha convener Ratnaker Gangolli, HJV Byndoor taluk president Rajesh Achar, organization’s Prashanth Moily, Harish Selkod, Vedanath Heranjal, Navin Gangolli, Umesh Bijoor, Vijeth Shekar Kambadkone and taluk level unit activists were present.
