This incident happened in Chikkinadka in Amaramudnoor village in the taluk on the night of Sunday. The family members heard a huge sound made by something that had fallen into their well at night. They checked and found that a cow had fallen into the well. They lowered a rope, tied it around the neck of the cow and by pulling and holding the rope tight from above, and ensured that the cow did not drown. They also contacted the fire brigade.

On account of heavy rainfall, the water in the well had swelled. A fireman climbed down the well, fastened a belt around the body of the cow after which the cow was pulled out safely.
