Mangaluru: Peacock found dead, forest department officials inspect spot

Mangaluru, Jul 30: A peacock was found dead under the limits of Someshwar townhall on the outskirts of the city on Friday July 30.

The corpse of the national bird was found behind Stella Mary’s school at Kotekar.

It is suspected that it might have been hit by a speeding train.

Chief officer of Someshwar town municipality Vani Alva informed the matter to forest department. The officials of the forest department arrived at the spot and undertook inspection.
